Composition

My compositional style is incredibly multifaceted: Made of many disparate influences woven together to create music that can appear like a kaleidoscope, or a tapestry of sound. My influences runn from the classical repertoire to jazz, musical theater, video game soudtracks, and many other styles I've run into during my time. I try not to bog myself down with the idea of a cohesive style, instead choosing to write whatever I feel compelled to at any point.

Commissions

Rates

Large Ensemble - $500 per minute

For the purposes of commissions, large ensemble shall mean any piece of music written for more than parts, including electronics. This can be sixteen-part choir, wind band, orchestra, or any other combination.

Mid-sized Ensemble - $400 per minute

Medium ensembles range from 8-15 parts, including electronics. This can be any combination of instruments, voices, etc.

Solo and Small Ensemble - $300 per minute

Solo and Small Ensemble includes any piece with 1-8 separate parts, including instruments, voices, and electronics. This includes SATB choir with minimal divisi, and string orchestra with minimal divisi.

I am flexible with these rates for current students, and school ensembles in low-income areas. Feel free to reach out to me at any point with questions or concerns.

Payment

Most commissions will be paid for in two payments: One before work has begun for 50% of the price, and the other upon completion of the work. Any exceptions to this will be handled case-by-case during the consultation/negotiation phase. Examples of exceptions may include payment plans, commissions without time constraints, and other potential situations.

Consortiums

Thinking about commissioning me but can't afford to pay the full price? I am happy to work on running a consortium commission, where the price of the commission is spread out among multiple buyers in a sort of "crowdfunded" way.
